In celebration of the 4th anniversary of our YouTube Channel, Watch The World, we collaborated with the Swiss high end watch brand, Chronoswiss, to launch the Watch The World x Chronoswiss Delphis crossover watch with a limited edition of five pieces.
The series I chose is the classic Delphis that I regretted not buying it decades ago. Its three-hand one line Regulator dial, jumping hour display, flyback minute hand, and "oversized onion head" crown undoubtedly express the unique and very individual design of Delphis, which is highly recognizable. Speaking of the Chronoswiss brand, I naturally think of the Delphis collection immediately.
For this Watch The World's x Chronoswiss Delphis crossover piece, it not only keeps the original classic style of Delphis, but also adds modern elements. Guilloché is a traditional decorative technique in the watch industry. Chronoswiss uses this technique to create beautiful and modern patterns, which immediately makes this watch more dynamic and lively, truly combining tradition and modernity.
Its dial is electroplated with 18k red gold, inspired by the color of Watch The World logo. The limited edition number "1 of 5" and the number 852 emphasizing the Hong Kong origin of this crossover are inscribed subtly on the bridge of the dial.
One additional feature that I personally like very much is the flyback minute hand. It looks like a big sword and its skeletonized design does not obscure the dial's guilloché pattern.
The transparent case back allows you to see the brand’s unique movement C.6004 which was specially made by La Joux-Perret, a high-end movement manufacture in Switzerland.
