My third stop of independent Swiss watchmakers is the town of Biel/Bienne. This town may not be well known but it houses OMEGA’s headquarter and also one of ROLEX’s manufactures. What surprised me most during this visit to Armin Strom is that though it is not sizeable, it is complete – it achieved vertical production – designs, parts, decoration and assembly are all in-house.
